H’ssaine district
Hssaine was established as an urban municipality with legal personality and financial autonomy under Decree No. 2.92.462 of June 30, 1992, which defined the number of districts, caïdats, and urban and rural municipalities. In 2003, following the implementation of the city unity system pursuant to Law No. 78.00 relating to the Municipal Charter, promulgated by Dahir No. 1.02.297 of October 3, 2002, Hssaine District became one of the five districts constituting the Urban Municipality of Salé.
Geographical Location
Hssaine District is located in the southeastern part of the city of Salé. It is bordered to the north by Laâyayda District, to the south by the Municipality of Sehoul and the Bouregreg Basin, to the west by Bettana District and the Bouregreg Basin, and to the east by the Municipality of Sehoul.

Area
The district covers an area of 37.29 km² and lies at an altitude of approximately 105 meters above sea level.
Population
According to the 2024 General Population and Housing Census (GPHC), the district has a population of 234,326 inhabitants, including 233,269 Moroccans and 1,057 foreigners, representing approximately 25% of the total population of the Municipality of Salé (945,101 inhabitants). The number of households is 63,823.
