Mr. Omar Sentissi takes part in the Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Joint Support Mechanism for Decentralized Cooperation between Morocco and France

Mr. Omar Sentissi, President of the Municipal Council of Salé, took part in a meeting held by the Steering Committee of the joint support mechanism for decentralized cooperation between Morocco and France, chaired by Mr. Jelloul Samsseme, Wali and Director General of Territorial Communities, and Mr. Christophe Lecourtier, Ambassador of the French Republic to Morocco.

During this meeting, 15 new decentralized cooperation projects between territorial communities in Morocco and France were selected. In addition, both parties agreed to launch a second biennial call for projects for the period 2026–2027 during the second half of 2026.

Moroccan and French officials reaffirmed their strong commitment to strengthening relations between Morocco and France, highlighting the depth of the friendship that unites the two countries.

It should be recalled that the decentralized cooperation program between Moroccan territorial communities and their French counterparts, adopted in 2012, led to the establishment of five joint fund programs. These programs aim to strengthen partnerships between territorial communities in both countries across several areas, including territorial governance, human resources, tourism, digital transformation, youth, citizen participation, sustainable development, and energy, among others.
