The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Regional Council approves the regional master plan for continuing training

The Commission for Continuing Training of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region unanimously approved, at a meeting held on Thursday 27 July 2017 at the regional headquarters in Rabat, under the chairmanship of Mr Abdessamad Sekkal, President of the region, the regional master plan for continuing training.

In his address, Mr Sekkal stressed that supervising in-service training for the benefit of members of the councils and officials of local and regional authorities is one of the regions’ own competences in the field of regional development, and that the preparation of this master plan required coordination with the General Directorate of Local Authorities (DGCL) which has accumulated significant experience in this field. He added that the regional council aims, through this master plan, to reinforce the operational know-how of regional elected representatives, by the means of sessions of training, in the framework of a partnership with the regional university pole including Mohammed V University in Rabat, Ibn Tofail University in Kénitra and the International University in Rabat.
