The Driss Ben Mamoun Association for the Creation and Research in the Art of Melhoun in Salé, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and the Municipality of Salé, and in collaboration with the Salé Prefecture, organised from June 12 to 15, 2025, the 11th edition of the National Days of “N’zaha du Melhoun” in memory of the late Abderrahmane Krombi, a prominent figure in cultural and associative life.

This edition, organised under the theme “Honouring Melhoun Artists .. Fidelity – Development – Sustainability,” was distinguished by the diversity of its program, which included an intellectual conference on the topic “Melhoun in the Era of Globalisation between Preservation and Renewal,” as well as the presentation of two literary works in the field of Melhoun art: the book “The Lamentations in Melhoun Poetry” by the author Saïd Benfrhi, and the book “Sidi Kaddour El Alami, Poet of Meknès-Zaytouna” by Professor Abderrahmane El Melhouni.

The festival also organised artistic evenings celebrating the heritage of Melhoun, with tributes paid to personalities who have contributed to the service of this ancestral art, and concluded with a boat ride on traditional boats on the Bouregreg River.
