The Commune of Salé is launching a project to build a commercial center in the Kharouba neighborhood in order to enhance services and organize commercial activities

As part of efforts to regulate commercial activities and improve the quality of services provided to residents, construction work on a commercial center in the Kharouba neighborhood, within the Bettana district, is set to begin soon. This project falls within the framework of a recently approved public contract, with a total cost of approximately 12,800,000 dirhams.
The project aims to meet the needs of the population after years without a structured commercial space, a situation that led to the spread of street vendors and the unregulated occupation of public space, resulting in organizational issues as well as concerns related to safety and hygiene.
It is part of a comprehensive vision of the communal council to rehabilitate the local commercial landscape by providing a suitable space for shopping and organizing commercial activities. The project will help enhance the area’s attractiveness and create economic momentum that benefits both residents and traders.
The project will be carried out over a total built-up area of approximately 2,511 square meters. It will include a set of commercial units arranged in an organized manner across three levels (ground floor and two upper floors), covering various activities (fruits and vegetables, meats, fish, poultry, food and household products, etc.), in addition to other essential facilities.
The project is expected to be completed within eight months, with the adoption of modern construction and equipment standards, particularly in terms of safety, health, and hygiene.
