Mr Omar Sentissi takes part in a regional communication meeting on ‘The development of the financial resources of local authorities and public contracts: between reforms and constraints’
On Friday 31 May 2024 in Laâyoune, Mr Omar Sentissi, President of the Salé Local Council, took part in a regional communication meeting on the theme of ‘The development of financial resources for local authorities and public contracts: between reforms and constraints’.
Initiated by the Moroccan Association of Local Council Presidents (AMPCC), in partnership with the Directorate-General for Local Authorities (DGCT) of the Ministry of the Interior, the meeting was one of a series of events aimed at examining the difficulties involved in managing local public affairs, promoting interaction with local partners and exchanging experiences and best practices to improve the process of local governance.
The meeting, which was attended by the presidents of the Communal Councils of the Kingdom’s three southern regions and representatives of the DGCT, provided an opportunity to discuss issues of importance and relevance to local managers, relating to the development of self-financing by local authorities and public procurement, where the reforms and practical constraints relating thereto were presented.
