Mr. Omar Sentissi takes part in the Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Joint Support Mechanism for Decentralized Cooperation between Morocco and France

Mr. Omar Sentissi, President of the Municipal Council of Salé, took part in a meeting held by the Steering Committee of the joint support mechanism for decentralized cooperation between Morocco and France, chaired by Mr. Jelloul Samsseme, Wali and Director General of Territorial Communities, and Mr. Christophe Lecourtier, Ambassador of the French Republic to Morocco.

During this meeting, 15 new decentralized cooperation projects between territorial communities in Morocco and France were selected. In addition, both parties agreed to launch a second biennial call for projects for the period 2026–2027 during the second half of 2026.

Moroccan and French officials reaffirmed their strong commitment to strengthening relations between Morocco and France, highlighting the depth of the friendship that unites the two countries.

It should be recalled that the decentralized cooperation program between Moroccan territorial communities and their French counterparts, adopted in 2012, led to the establishment of five joint fund programs. These programs aim to strengthen partnerships between territorial communities in both countries across several areas, including territorial governance, human resources, tourism, digital transformation, youth, citizen participation, sustainable development, and energy, among others.

Congratulations on the Occasion of the Celebration of the Anniversary of the Glorious Independence Day

On the occasion of the Glorious Independence Day, Mr. Omar Sentissi, President of the Communal Council of Salé, has the great honor, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the said council, the municipal officials, and all the inhabitants of the city, to extend his warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and glorify Him.

He beseeches the Most High to grant Our Sovereign continued victory, success, health, and well-being, to bless His tireless efforts in strengthening the foundations of the modern State, completing the territorial integrity of the country, and achieving prosperity for His faithful subjects.

He also prays that the Almighty bless His Majesty through HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija, and that He support Him with HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, as well as all members of the illustrious Royal Family.

The Municipal Council of Salé holds an extraordinary session on November 7, 2025

The Municipal Council of Salé held, on Friday, November 7, 2025, in the meeting hall at Bab Bouhaja, an extraordinary session presided over by Mr. Omar Sentissi. The session was attended by the members of the Council, representatives of the local authorities, several administrative staff members, as well as a number of citizens.

Following the deliberations, the Council unanimously approved several conventions and decisions, notably:

  • Two amendment agreements to partnership conventions with the Bouregreg Association, relating to the management of the Hollywood space and the support of the Salé International Women’s Film Festival.
  • A cooperation agreement for the annual organization of the Salé Samaâ and Sufi Heritage Festival.
  • The provision of municipal land parcels to the Rabat Region Development Company for the implementation of socio-cultural facilities.
  • The adoption of lists of land intended for the development of neighborhood sports fields and local markets.
  • The acceptance of a land donation intended for the extension of the Sidi Bel Abbas cemetery.
  • The cancellation and reallocation of investment credits for the 2025 fiscal year.
  • The planning of new public road layouts.
  • The sale of the municipal forest product for the fiscal year 2026.

Regarding the draft budget of the Municipality for the year 2026, it was approved by a majority of the members present.

Meanwhile, the deliberation concerning the amendment of the municipal fiscal regulation was postponed to a later session.

The session was concluded with the reading of a message of loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.

Congratulations on the Anniversary of the Glorious Green March

On the occasion of the commemoration of the anniversary of the Glorious Green March, and in the fervor of the celebrations marking the adoption by the United Nations Security Council of the resolution endorsing the autonomy proposal for the southern provinces of the Kingdom under Moroccan sovereignty, Mr. Omar Sentissi, President of the Council of the Municipality of Salé, has the honor, on his own behalf and on behalf of the members of the council, the municipal staff, and all the residents of the city, to extend his most sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and glorify Him.

He implores the Almighty to renew for His Majesty this joyous national occasion with good health, happiness, and prosperity, and to bless the steps of the path of development and progress led by our Sovereign, so that He may achieve for His faithful people the glory and greatness to which they aspire.

He also prays that the Almighty to bring joy to His heart through HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija, and to strengthen His support with HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, as well as all members of the noble Royal Family.

Mr. Omar Sentissi Takes Part in a Consultation Meeting on the Development of the Integrated Territorial Development Program

In implementation of the High Royal Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, the Governor of the Prefecture of Salé, Mr. Omar Touimi, chaired on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the headquarters of the prefecture, a consultation meeting on the elaboration of the Integrated Territorial Development Program of Salé, under the theme: “Let us build together what unites us.”

The meeting was attended by Mr. Omar Sentissi, President of the Municipal Council of Salé, as well as elected officials, representatives of public institutions and external services, economic stakeholders, and civil society organizations.

Mr. Touimi emphasized that this meeting aims to open broad discussions with all relevant stakeholders in order to formulate an integrated territorial development program for the city, based on consultation, listening, and prioritizing actions that meet the needs of the population.

During the meeting, a diagnostic overview of several key sectors was presented, along with territorial data concerning the city’s economic, social, and cultural infrastructure.

Participants also addressed development challenges, stressing the need to give particular attention to education, health, road infrastructure, and the enhancement of the various assets and potentialities of the city.

The President of the Commune of Salé receives the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines accredited to Morocco

Mr. Omar Sentissi, President of the Commune of Salé, received on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the headquarters of the Commune, Mr. Leslie J. Baja, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco.

During this meeting, both parties emphasized the strength of the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of the Philippines. They also stressed the importance of strengthening decentralized cooperation and the exchange of expertise between local authorities in both countries, particularly in areas of common interest.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore potential partnerships and cooperation between the Commune of Salé and its counterparts in the Philippines in the field of local development.
