Artistic evening around Sports Memory of Salé

The Driss Belmamoun Association for the creation and research in the art of Melhoun organized, as part of its cultural and artistic activities for the 2017/2018 season, a cultural and artistic evening on the theme: “Sports Memory of Salé”; and this, Sunday, January 21, 2018, at 15:30, at the home of the late Haj Mohamed Zouaoui located in Assaf district of the old medina of Salé.

During this ceremony, a tribute was paid to the pioneer association Mr. Boubker Bouâabida, as a mobile sports memory. Similarly, the Salé Sports Association, Basketball Section, was celebrated for its well deserved continental consecration, having won the African Club Championship recently played in Tunis. From then on, this evening was the perfect occasion to sing Melhoun qassida dedicated to sport, especially football and the historic feat accomplished by the Slaoui Basketball club.

This event was marked by the presence of the president of the municipality of Sale, Jamaâ El Moâtassim, members of both associations, as well as a number of Slaoui personalities evolving in the artistic and sports circles.

Hassan Aourid signs in Salé his latest novel “Spring of Cordoba”

The writer and university professor, Hassan Aourid, signed on Friday evening of January 19, 2018, at the headquarters of the association Bouregreg located in Bettana, his latest novel “Spring of Cordoba”, which evokes an important chapter of the shared history between Morocco and Spain.

The signing ceremony, organized by the association as part of its cultural activities, was marked by the presence of the president of the commune of Salé, Jamaâ El Moâtassim, members of the association and an intellectual elite.

Adoption of a modern garbage collection technique in the Lamrissa district

As part of the measures taken by the municipality council of Salé to improve urban and domestic cleaning services and the development of mechanisms and techniques used, and in coordination with the delegated company of the sector of the cleanliness in the borough Lamrissa, a technique modern garbage collection has been adopted.

This intelligent and sustainable solution relies on the installation of underground or semi-underground waste containers, thus contributing to the preservation of the district’s aesthetics by avoiding the spread and volatilization of waste in the perimeter of the container. Olfactory nuisance should also be less, since garbage is de facto isolated from the public road, buried. It should be noted that the competent services should endeavor to use this type of container in other quarters.

“Salé, splendours and promises”, a new collective work dedicated to the “city of Corsairs”

Salé, splendours and promises” is the title of a new book dedicated to the city of Salé, recently published by Axions Communication in Rabat under the direction of Mohamed Lotfi M’rini, Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and of Communication, and Saad Hossini, Moroccan publisher.

The eminent contribution of some twenty authors, from different disciplines, makes this book a reference work on the past and glorious past of Salé, its tainted perpetual motion, and its bright and promising future.

This beautiful book of 200 pages – embellished with a hundred beautiful photos in color, illustrations, as well as historical engravings and rare documents – is a hike in the streets, the ramparts, the gardens, the large doors witnesses a legendary past and looking to the future. With a foreword signed Jamaâ El Moâtassim, president of the Commune of Salé, and a foreword by Mohamed Lotfi M’rini under the title: “Salé, anthology of names”, the book highlights the wealth of artistic, artisanal, natural, tourist, sporting, civilizational and urbanistic of a millenary city whose history is rooted and anchored in time.

Through its eleven chapters, it is indeed the aspects of a fortified, mystical, resistant, urban city that have appeared in this book. The town of Salé is known for its moments, but also for its great figures who have marked the landscapes of science, politics, spirituality, culture and the arts. As a result, the cultural and civilizational aspect of the city is mysterious, fascinating and rich.

The Salé Sports Association Wins the Throne Cup for the Blind and Visually Impaired

The Salé Sports Association Section for Blind and Visually Impaired won Saturday, December 16, 2017, the Throne Cup parathletics.
This sporting event, which was attended by a group of national clubs affiliated to the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities, was marked by a great success of the parathletes of the Salé Sports Association in various competitions.
Congratulations to the Salé Sports Association and the parathletes crowned champions of Morocco for this crowning deserved, and more brilliance and excellence in the future.

“Al Assima” held a meeting dedicated to the opening of bids of the call for tenders to designate the new delegate of the management of the public transport service by bus

Under the chairmanship of Mr. Jamaâ Mouâtassim, the group “Al Assima” held a meeting on Thursday, January 04, 2018, dedicated to observe the tender opening process for the delegated management of the public transport service in the Rabat-Salé-Témara area. Two companies are in the running, Transinvest and the group City Bus-Alsa.

According to Mr. Mouâtassim, this first meeting focused on the study of the administrative files of the two candidates, while a final meeting will seek the examination of their technical and financial offers before appointing the new delegated operator.

The Borough Council of Tabriquet continues the work of development and equipment of the Civil Status Offices

Continuing the measures to ensure more comfortable and more suitable work spaces for the activities of the officials of the Borough of Tabriquet on the one hand, and to improve the quality of the services provided to the citizens on the other, it was launched the work of redevelopment of the Civil Status Office and the legalization of the signature in the “Oued Rommane” administrative annex, as well as the completion of the equipment works of the “Annassim” annex.
