Laâyayda district council welcomes a delegation of young Belgians

As part of the promotion of intercultural exchanges, a group of Belgian young people, along with national counterparts, representing different associations, visited Laâyayda district council headquarters. This delegation was welcomed by Mr. El Bakkali El Hachimi, Vice-Chairman of the Board, in the presence of the Director of Borough Services and a few presidents of the administrative departments.

During this meeting, information was presented to the borough’s hosts on the powers of the borough council, which decides by its deliberations in matters of proximity, and gives its deliberate opinion in all points of interest in all or in part of the territorial division of the borough. The delegation also received explanations on the involvement of the council in social mobilization, the continued encouragement of the voluntary sector, as well as initiatives to implement participatory development projects.

The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Regional Council approves the regional master plan for continuing training

The Commission for Continuing Training of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region unanimously approved, at a meeting held on Thursday 27 July 2017 at the regional headquarters in Rabat, under the chairmanship of Mr Abdessamad Sekkal, President of the region, the regional master plan for continuing training.

In his address, Mr Sekkal stressed that supervising in-service training for the benefit of members of the councils and officials of local and regional authorities is one of the regions’ own competences in the field of regional development, and that the preparation of this master plan required coordination with the General Directorate of Local Authorities (DGCL) which has accumulated significant experience in this field. He added that the regional council aims, through this master plan, to reinforce the operational know-how of regional elected representatives, by the means of sessions of training, in the framework of a partnership with the regional university pole including Mohammed V University in Rabat, Ibn Tofail University in Kénitra and the International University in Rabat.

Borough Council Bettana organizes artistic performances to commemorate Throne Feast

As part of the celebration of the feast of the Throne, Bettana borough council will hold an artistic ceremony on Monday, July 31, 2017 around 18:00 at the Place Palestine. This ceremony will be marked by the tribute paid to the officials of the borough allowed to assert their right to retirement.

At the same time, in collaboration with the association of Bouregreg, this council organizes an artistic performance, within the framework of the international festival “Children of peace” in its 11th edition, from 21:00, at the aforementioned Place.

Organization of the 8th edition of the festival “Spaces of Hssaine”

In order to enhance the local heritage and promote the solidarity economy, the public of Salé lived the events of the 8th edition of the festival “Spaces of Hssaine”, which was marked this year by a diversified program combining culture, entertainment and Economic activities through the exhibition of handicrafts, to which various associations and cooperatives have contributed.

As with every year, the public has enjoyed the fantasia artistic performances, presented awesomely by the participating teams, reflecting the continued preservation of this authentic Moroccan heritage bequeathed from father to son.

Launching of the manifestations of the 11th edition of the international festival “Children of peace”

The 11th edition of the international festival “Children of Peace” kicked off on Monday evening, July 24, 2017 in Salé with a reception ceremony of the participating delegations. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Abderrahmane Benali, Governor of Salé Prefecture, Mr. Jamaâ El Moâtassim, President of the Communal Council of Salé, Mr. Noureddine Chemaou, President of the The association Bouregeg, organizer of the festival with the support and coordination of various partners, local elected representatives and associative actors, was marked by performances and songs performed by children.

In his inaugural speech, Chemaou said that the festival brings together more than 600 children from more than 28 countries. This 11th edition also celebrates Africa under the theme “Edition of Africa”, in recognition of the African depth of the Kingdom, said Chemaou, noting that Africa is represented this year by 13 African countries . The speaker added that the fame of the festival has passed the limits of the city to become a regional or even national event.

Mr.El Moâtassim, for his part, confirmed the pride of the city of Salé to host this festival, which has become an annual event, which, besides the festivities, aims to create a space for dialogue between civilizations to give rise to a moment of peaceful coexistence in which linguistic and identity differences give way to coexistence, tolerance, dialogue, peace and security. The speaker also reiterated the commitment of the communal council of Salé to provide all the necessary means and create the appropriate conditions for the success of the successive editions of the festival.

The ceremony was also marked by the signing of a partnership agreement between the president of the association Bouregreg and the association of the sub-Saharan cultural and artistic community, with the aim of promoting the artistic talents of sub-Saharan Africans in order to carry out their activities in Morocco.
