The municipality of Salé organises a coordination meeting with educational institutions in preparation for the traveling exhibition of photographs of the medina of Salé
In preparation for the launch of the travelling exhibition of photographs of the medina of Salé, which the municipality of Salé is planning to organize as part of its cultural program for the year 2025, a coordination meeting was held on the morning of January 3, 2025, at the municipality’s headquarters. The meeting was devoted to examining the arrangements for organising visits to the exhibition for pupils from public and private educational institutions.
At the beginning of this meeting, after welcoming the participants, Mr. Omar Sentissi, president of the Salé municipal council, indicated that the organization of a photography exhibition of the Salé medina is part of the projects of the cultural program that the municipality supervises according to a coordinated and participative approach. This project embodies the council’s contribution to the diversification and enrichment of the city’s artistic and cultural offerings, as well as the enhancement of its historical specifics and authentic monuments, and their large-scale promotion.
For his part, after presenting the content of the annual cultural program of the municipality, Mr. Mohamed Nejjar, vice-president of the municipal council, explained that one of the objectives of the photographic exhibition is to allow young people to discover aspects of the city’s history, to encourage interest and awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage, and to highlight the aesthetic elements of its monuments.
In his speech, Mr. Larbi Moukhli, president of the provincial office of the Alliance of Private Education of Salé, expressed the importance of organizing this exhibition aimed at highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of the city, affirming the Alliance’s readiness to engage in this project and succeed alongside educational institutions and other partners.
This was followed by speeches by M. Lotfi Mrini, President of the Salé Foundation for Culture and the Arts, Mr Adib Belghazi, President of the Belghazi Association for Heritage Preservation, and Mr Badi, representative of the Salé Regional Department of National Education, Pre-school Education and Sport, followed by an in-depth discussion by representatives of the educational establishments, who welcomed the initiative and expressed their willingness to commit to and collaborate in this project.
